Leah + Adam

Every wedding touches our hearts but this one was a particular tearjerker and emotionally-attached wedding: the wedding of Susan's brother and beautiful wife-to-be!

Despite the tears and the reason behind them, it was absolutely the happiest day. Guests traveled from all over the U.S. to share this day of love and celebration!  We were all beaming from morning into the night.

In 2008, Adam & Leah met in Alaska, while working for the Riverboat Discovery. On Adam’s first day of work, their boss introduced them, since he knew they would be working together for the summer. They started talking and even dated for a couple of weeks.  When it came time for Leah to move to Utah, they decided to not pursue a relationship at that time.  Two years later, they got back into touch, and Leah suggested that Adam come down to visit. After the first visit, they were inseparable and, as they say, "the rest is history"

Adam proposed to Leah on February 27, 2013 since work kept him away from home on Valentine's Day. They decided not to plan anything until Leah finished with school in May.  So, in mid-May, Leah bought her dress (well as she says, her mom did) and from then on they planned like crazy! Leah & Adam wanted to plan everything themselves and did many DIY projects themselves such as their Signature Plate which was used as their guest book and the photo centerpieces. Since they live in Utah, they spent much time calling and texting Susan to discuss details and receive guidance for their upcoming wedding day.

As a couple they enjoy romantic and intimate evenings out together and wanted to create a simple and elegant atmosphere for their wedding to capture how they enjoy spending time together. Family and friends are very important to them so they invited the closest of their family and friends to create an intimate celebration. Love was the theme of the wedding, from the centerpieces which showcased family members wedding photos to the intimate ceremony to include a hands ceremony, and also a rose ceremony that involved their mothers’ participation.

The day was absolutely beautiful! Leah & Adam exited their beautiful reception to sparklers and were whisked away in a horse drawn carriage to start their lives together as Mr. & Mrs.
